  10. This is the second official release of the ateopar.device and itis supposed to
  11. be 100% compatible with the parallel.device from commodore.
  12.  
  13. This device handle the parallel port of multi IO board installed on the AteoBus.
  14.  
  15. This device still has some limitations!
  16.    - Tested only on write mode,
  17.    - no documentation,
  18.    - just SPP mode, no EPP or ECP mode (even if the hardware can do it!)

  20. To install it, just copy it in DEVS:, be careful, to use it you need a keyfile
  21. or the device will fail to open.

  23. If you just want to try, use the demo version located in the demo directory of
  24. this archive. To install the demo version, just copy it to devs:

  26. The demo version as the following limitations:
  27.    - no shared acces,
  28.    - only 5 minutes of full work, after what you will have to make a reset,
  29.    - some option are not implemented,
  30.    - work only on the parallel on the first unit of the AteoIO
  31.  
  32. To use both the demo version and the full version, you will need ateoparpref too!

  34. You can try it with utilities like ParPrefs from Benoit Mortier (available on Aminet)
